“LAMOUREUX STORY” was commissioned by the Orchestre Lamoureux to celebrate ten years of collaboration with its musical director Yutaka Sado. (Live recording by the Orchestre des concerts Lamoureux).

The 4 last movements are a unique medley in which Yannick Paget entwines and overlays all the main scores that were played by the orchestra over the past ten years.

Surprises for the public and Yutaka were included: the orchestra manager sings and plays with the staff in the scherzo, a wind quintet plays a serenade from the audience behind Yutaka Sado, and the orchestra sings in “a place for us”. At the end the choir that sings Beethoven ’s 9th is hidden in the audience.
